Pupillage Programme

MJM Limited’s pupillage programme is for newly-qualified lawyers who are eligible for call to the Bermuda Bar, and who possess relevant academic qualifications from a British Commonwealth jurisdiction.

The programme is for a two-year period with three eight (8) month seats (or assignments) in each of the firm’s practice areas: Corporate, Dispute Resolution and Private Client/Property. Pupils will be eligible for call to the Bermuda Bar once twelve (12) months have been completed but will continue their pupillage through to the end of the two-year period when the firm will assess the pupil’s competency throughout the pupillage, as well as the needs of the firm to determine if an associate position within one of the practice areas will be offered.

Due to the requirements of the Department of Immigration, applications for pupillage can only be accepted from Bermudians, spouses of Bermudians, and PRC holders who have the right to work in Bermuda.
