Pupillage Programme

Pupillage Programme

MJM Limited has a pupillage programme for newly qualified lawyers who are eligible for call to the Bermuda Bar, and who possess relevant academic qualifications from a British Commonwealth jurisdiction. The programme entails a one year period of training under the supervision of an experienced practitioner and mentor, and requires the candidate to work in several departments and practice disciplines for a period of at least 12 months before becoming eligible to be called to the Bermuda Bar. At MJM a pupil who is offered a position as a junior attorney following successful completion of pupillage will be expected to undergo a further period of training of at least one year in the department to which he or she is assigned before working in an unsupervised capacity. Due to the requirements of the Department of Immigration, applications for pupillage can only be accepted from Bermudians, spouses of Bermudians, and PRC holders who have the right to one and work in Bermuda.

Applications for the Pupillage Program should be submitted no later than February 28th of each year.
