Areas of Practice

Ms. Desmond-Tetlow is a senior asso­ciate in the firm’s lit­i­ga­tion group and advises on all areas of mat­ri­mo­nial and fam­ily law and in gen­eral civil lit­i­ga­tion. She is also a trained mediator.

Pro­fes­sional Experience

Prior to join­ing MJM, Ms. Desmond-Tetlow had prac­ticed at the Bar in Ire­land, where she also served as Vice-Chair of the Employ­ment Appeals Tri­bunal and as a Coun­cil mem­ber of the Irish Coun­cil of Civil Lib­er­ties. Upon com­ing to Bermuda, she worked for the firms of Peter J.C. Smith and Appleby, Spurl­ing and Kempe. She was also for many years the legal advi­sor to the Women’s Resource Centre.
